The idea of the Secret City, Secret Island, Secret Land is very inspirational to me.
I often imagine myself traveling far away and finding this kind of place, where everything is different and mysterious and there is so much to discover.
Here is one of my fantasies, when I am going back in time and get into a live Medieval town right in the middle of important historical event. Let it not be Black Plague...))
Lovely illustration! Full of details. I would like to visit this city. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sally)) Lets go there together?))
DeleteI love your picture and as well the interpretation of this week's topic. This weeks picture really makes one curious - there must be a lot of secrets hidden!
ReplyDeleteThank you Katrin)) It was my idea - what can be more mysterious then a city, burrowed in history...
DeleteI like the circular shape that draws the eye around... down low its the bricks in a line, up high its the flags. It keeps you looking at the detail! nice work
ReplyDeleteThank you, Janix! I used to work as a travel guide in Montenegro long time ago and I found out, that medieval cities often are roughly circular in shape. Probably, they were easier to protect this way...
DeleteAs a former architecture student, this is refreshing to see! Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kaimara! I am really proud to receive a good feedback from an architect!))
DeleteOooo...I would like to go there. It looks like it is a festive place. You've captured me!
ReplyDeleteIf I just was able to invite you there, you would certainly be my guest, Claire!))
