A squirrel and a bearbug

Here are two more drawings, a squirrel (perhaps) and a bearbug (new, unknown animal)). I did not feel like acid colors this time, that's why they are not as bright as previous characters. Sometimes I think, who are all this characters I draw. who are they? Where do they live? What sort of life do they have?
It might to seem logical if I knew these things as a creator of the characters. But I don't, I just draw portraits of them...

A bird and a koala

Today's input, two small drawings of a bird and a koala. I use an nature history encyclopaedia for inspiration, but rarely draw directly from it. I just have a look on all there birds and animals to get inspired, but when I draw I take my liberties and change shapes and colours as I like.

Rabbit and mouse

Two more drawings from the book/postcards project. It is seems that my drawings are getting more and more detailed. I started from the bottom left corner of the sheet and going to finish on the top right corner. I am wondering how different they are going to be in subject, style and quality... Here is two steps of today's work: contour version and finished, colored one.

Life in the sea

Last year I was obsessed with drawing fish, octopuses and other marine life. That was the result of my holidays in Thailand, which I spent mostly snorkeling and diving. Here is a reflection to that inspiration, a couple of small sea-themed drawings.

The whole sheet so far:

Doodlebird and doodlefrog

Couple more small drawings from the book/postcards project.  I should probably draw all line-work at once and then color everything at once, but I am for some reason absoluterly unable to leave any contour uncoloured...
For this two characters I used Molotow markes, Copic markers and watercolor Tombow markers.  I love mixing different materials so much!

Inspired by boredom

By mistake I went to a wrong lecture at my uni, so I spent one hour listening to the Basics of Economics instead of the Principles of the Contemporary Art Practices.  Oh my gosh, economisc is so boring! I hardly survived those hour! I doodled in my notebook, I draw doodle tatoos  on my hands and I started to doodle on my jeanses when finally lecture was over.  I can not imagine how economics students survive these lectures for years at universities.
Here one of these doodles:
